So…it’s been a little while huh?! I started this blog as an outlet for myself and for others to potentially get some inspiration. When I needed the most inspiration, I abandoned it. We could sit here all day analyzing why I did that, but instead let’s just focus on the fact that I’m back at it and going to try again!

It has been about 6 months or so…here’s a little bit of that!

E and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary! And we did it in the best way possible…wine tasting in Fredericksburg, Texas.

We had a lot of fun going on tours and tasting different kinds of wines. We stayed in a romantic cabin in the middle of nowhere. It stormed really bad while we were there (hence the umbrella in the picture) but we made the most of our time.

I can’t believe it has been 2 years! Some days it seems like we have known each other forever, some days it feels like we just met. I have enjoyed every moment, every experience, every day with E and cannot wait to see what the next 50 years hold for us.

E and I moved into a cute little townhouse. We are very blessed to be in this house and I loved taking on the challenge of decorating.

We have a guest room, that not only has a comfortable bed and TV, but also is my personal art gallery.

The living room was my favorite to decorate! I call it modern industrial. If that is a real thing, I’m not sure. But I found some brick paneling and adhered that to the wall, then I made the shelves from pipes and wood. Added a big comfy couch and table.

Please ignore the cords in the picture below, but I also made the shelves for the TV. Again, just pipes and wood! So easy, functional, and cute!

Around the time we moved in, we also had a little announcement:

Yes! That says BIG BROTHER BEAU! ๐Ÿ˜€

To this little guy! No, I’m not pregnant, although I thought it was funny to trick people for a day. (That’s bad, huh?!) Gatsby joined our family at 8 weeks, weighting 11 pounds, and the same size as Beau. We got him from Pup Squad Rescue. He was born into a shelter and the only one of his 11 siblings to survive. He has grown like a weed and fitting in perfectly with our family. We love him so much! (And that includes Beau!)

ย I joined a network marketing company called Arbonne. (You better believe there will be a full post about this soon.) For now, I will just say that it is a botanical, all nature, vegan, green company that produces all kinds of products from skin care, to baby care, to nutrition. I love all of their products because I know they are good for me. Healthy and safe. I’m tired of chemicals and additives. I would like to be around and healthy in the next 50 years. Also, the products are purchased from people like me, people like you. You are not paying an overpaid CEO to buy his third vacation home. This company really changes lives financially.

Above is the 30 days to healthy living package. All kinds of good stuff you need to jump-start your way into healthy living. (Included: two bags of vegan protein, two boxes of detox tea, 7 day detox cleanse, 1 box of digestion plus, 1 bag of fiber, 2 boxes of energy fizz sticks)

The skin care line, plus Genius correction pads (my favorite product!), CC cream, and body firming lotion.

Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, self tanner, and sea soak:

All of the products are amazing. Even E was impressed with them. Multiple things have been reordered and some things even specialty ordered for E ๐Ÿ˜€ I could go on and on, I will save it for a separate post.

My birthday came and went. Got together with a few people for tacos; currently my obsession. If you have not checked out Velvet Taco, GO, GO NOW! But first pick me up and take me with you!

My favorite is the two in the middle, the chicken tiki. Sooo yummy! I would go there every day if it wouldn’t make me fat!

For my actual birthday, E took me to Pappa’s Steakhouse. A very delicious steak, dessert, and great company!

birth birthed

By far the best birthday, and I can’t wait to celebrate many many more.

At the beginning of October I started a new job. I am no longer an auditor!! I started at Tilson Home as their Accounting Manager. Tilson is a private, family owned, family ran company. I am absolutely enjoying it so far. I have more accounting duties and people reporting directly to me.

First day outfit:

I thought I put together something cute…which rarely happens! Ha.

That was my desk…after two days! Yes, they really put me to work! Oh, and I have my own office! It’s kind of quiet, but I feel so grown up. Haha.

ย And this brings us the final thing to update you guys on…running.

I have not been running as much as I should be. I got in this weird funk. Summer was so hot and it’s hard to get motivated to be on a treadmill, or dreadmill, as I like to call it. As of now, I am planning on running the 50 miler at Brazos Bend 100 in December. However, I have not signed up yet, because I want to see how the next few weeks of training goes. I am not working on speed, just simply focusing on getting my mileage up. Just focusing on getting out there and running and enjoying it! We shall see how it goes! And I will keep you updated. And hopefully start keeping myself accountable.

I’m glad to be back at this blogging game. Also, I am changing up the layout and look of the blog, so bear with me.
